Andrew – Flight Deck Wingman
A former Royal Navy Sea Harrier pilot operating out of RNAS Yeovilton with 801 Naval Fighter Squadron, Flight Deck Wingman’s founder Andrew, made a successful transition into the world of commercial aviation in 2006, operating the B757/767 and A320/321/330 with a well known charter airline, before joining a major UK scheduled airline as a B787 pilot in 2015. Andrew’s highly ethical approach and personalised service has quickly gained a reputation for securing clients jobs.
A former British Army Officer, Lynx helicopter pilot and RAF C17 Captain, now a senior First Officer on the 737 NG with a major UK charter airline. Justin left the services after 16 years to join Boeing as a C17 TRI and advanced simulator instructor, where he taught UK, USAF and NATO crews. Justin maintains a reservist position and is delighted to join the Flight Deck Wingman team, helping to assist former service pilots make a successful transition.
A professional pilot for over 20 years, Steve started his flying career in the Royal Navy flying support helicopters. On leaving the RN he worked temporarily for a small Air Taxi and Air Ambulance company before joining a large scheduled UK Airline initially onto the A320 fleet and most recently the B777. Steve is very excited to join the Flight Deck Wingman team aiding pilots in their transition from the military or training schools and into the exciting dynamic world of commercial aviation.
Myles is a combat proven former Royal Navy attack-helicopter and fast-jet pilot. He is a maritime aviation expert, having completed appointments as line pilot, display pilot, supervisor, instructor, examiner and aviation risk manager. Currently 4 years into the transition to “civvy street”, he remembers the uncertainty and upheaval it produced and is able to empathise with our clients to help them through the process. He is type-rated on both Boeing and Airbus fleets, a commercial drone operator and military reservist.
A highly driven, experienced Ex-RAF Pilot having operated the C-17A Globemaster, Alex was a heavy jet captain by the age of 26, with a keen eye for detail in all areas of aircraft operation. Alex mentored young RAF pilots as Pilot Leader and Deputy Flight Commander. Alex is an ideal source of support to service leavers, having only made the transition to Civilian Aviation in 2015 and now enjoying a career with a major UK scheduled airline flying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
